Vintage Portrait

Vintage portrait oil on canvas painting from circa 1950-1960. This very detailed portrait shows the artist’s good color and figure painting. The painting shows great detail and brings to life his subject matter.

The portrait is of a woman, probably mid 20’s to early 30’s. The subject is well dressed and coiffed. She wears a billowy dress with brooches on either shoulder. Clearly, she is a woman of means.

Her expression is one of calm. Her pensive gaze to the left and down gives her the appearance of a very thoughtful and kind soul.

Very well executed, this painting is nonetheless not signed or dated. We estimate by the style of dress and overall condition of the work, that it was painted Mid Century.
