Georgian Style Furniture Features
Stately and elegant vintage breakfront made in the beautiful Georgian style.
This vintage breakfront has several design features of the 18th century Georgian furniture. It has beautiful glazed glass “honeycomb” style doors. It is crafted of mahogany and shows beautiful wood grain on the cabinet drawers and doors. Furthermore, the vintage breakfront has a simple dental molding along the top. Finally, swan neck brass hardware gleam on the cabinet’s center doors.
This cabinet dates to about 1930-1950 and has been very well restored. A new finish inside and out helps the piece retain vintage charm but have incredible first quality condition. At one point, this piece had lights along the sides of the cabinet. We left this strip of lights for the next owner. However, this size of vintage light bulb was very difficult for us to find. Regardless, the vintage breakfront cabinet is a true stunner with or without the lights.
Inside the upper part of the vintage cabinet, there are several shelves. The shelves are adjustable and do have a plate rail. The middle section has three long shelves, while each outer section only has two. The cabinet doors open by key.
This breakfront could be used in a dining room or in a library. We love to see mahogany breakfronts treated almost as a built-in in our clients homes. Very elegant!
This cabinet breaks down for easy moving in two separate pieces. As always, we recommend our clients take advantage of our in-home delivery service option if you do decide on this beautiful vintage breakfront. Remember, however, that we do only have one of each of these items. Please don’t hesitate to call us if you see a piece of interest in our online store. We love to meet with our clients and help them make their homes beautiful.
Thank you for inviting us into your vintage home!
