This is a beautiful solid mahogany (with oak secondary wood) Queen Anne vintage sideboard made by Councill Craftsman. It has Queen Anne legs in the front, a scalloped apron and three deep drawers. Often called a hunt board, this style of piece is found most often in a dining room but can be used in any entryway, hall way or office.
This vintage sideboard is made by Councill Craftsman and has a brass name plate in the center drawer. The drawers are banded with mahogany veneers and each drawer has two brass pull knobs and a key plate. (The center drawer has a lock but the other two key plates are false.) The drawers are not lined with felt but are nice and clean and solid oak. The drawers are dovetailed. There is a removable tray in the center drawer.
This antique buffet has been refinished and is in very good condition. There is a small dark flaw on top about the size of my thumbnail. Otherwise, it is in excellent shape and very beautiful.
