Farmhouse Hutch

Farmhouse hutch in solid cherry by Suter’s. This Suter’s China cabinet has excellent quality and beautiful style.

Suter’s China Cabinet

This is a very pretty and elegantly designed solid cherry Pennsylvania China Cupboard made by Suter’s, fine furniture maker of Harrisonburg, Virginia. It has beautifully construction methods. Indeed, this Suter’s China Cabinet has fitted glass panels, mortised joints on the case and dovetailed drawers.

The farmhouse hutch has very nice scale and proportion. This Suter’s China Cabinet will not overwhelm a room, yet it still has a nice presence and understated grandeur. The top cabinet is much narrower in depth than the bottom piece, allowing a nice serving area as you need it.

Additionally, this cherry china cabinet has fixed thick shelves in the top half of the cabinet. They have two plate rails running along the back of the shelves. Underneath, the cabinet has an adjustable shelf. The drawer has dividers and a felt bottom, perfect for silverware.

Suter’s has a great reputation for fine workmanship and lasting quality. The founder is of Swiss descent, and since the early 1800’s has adapted and refined Chippendale and Sheraton furniture styles. Most of their pieces exude a classic elegance that sometimes has a Shaker feel. They continue their strong legacy today and can be found online, and at showrooms in Richmond, VA and Harrisonburg.

This vintage china hutch is in very good condition. It looks nearly new. Of course, fine furniture usually comes from well cared for homes. This farmhouse hutch will serve your homestead very well. Hopefully, it can be a piece you pass down to your children.
