Beautiful, unusual and grand antique Empire desk in mahogany. This lovely three piece desk has so many unique qualities and features.
Antique Empire Desk
This antique Empire Desk has a very unique design. The top half of the cabinet is a bookcase with adjustable shelves. It features two glass doors (original wavy blown glass) with a lovely interlocking circle mullion pattern.
This unusual feature gives a lot of balance to the piece, and echos the curves of the scrollwork feet.
The center section features a fold-out desk. This desk folds open and has two different cubbies to store paperwork or items. Additonally, one open, you can access the three small drawers in the front of the desk.
The bottom section features open storage behind two blind doors.
Mahogany Secretary Desk
Certainly, this desk is quite lovely for its beautiful sumptuous mahogany grain.
Also, it has a very grand and impressive stature.
We refinished this desk in order to restore the piece. It has some flaws and signs of character to be expected for its nearly 200 years of age.
