Age & Condition: Circa 1960-1970. Refinished and Restored.

Dimensions: 34″ wide x 19.5″ deep x 51″ tall.

Winooski (Vermont) Maple Tall Chest

Winooski (Vermont) Maple Tall Chest of drawers. This handsome solid maple chest features beautiful style and incredible quality rarely seen in furniture built in this day and age.

The tall chest features a total of seven drawers. Each drawer has lovely brass hardware and dovetailing. The quality can be felt in the weight of each drawer. Also, the chest has wooden dust covers and a wooden back, other signs of great quality!

On the tag, there is a short story about the overhang style of the chest. Apparently, this feature stems from “Whipple” style homes (from Early New England architecture.) The most famous house, the John Whipple house, can still be visited to this day in Ipswich, MA.

We refinished this beautiful maple chest in order to bring it back to life for your home! We should soon have the matching long dresser and nightstand (Please check back for these listings!)
