Of course, this vintage secretary desk has a two piece design. It features a lovely tall stature (89″ tall) and a bookcase top with nice double bonnet design. Of course, this double bonnet design was popularized in the mid 18th century in England. However, several manufacturers since have copied the design. This piece would be a great fit in a home with arches or other curves in the architecture.
Of course, this lovely vintage secretary desk has a pretty burl walnut wood covering its surface. Additionally, it has a pretty embossed leather interior.
Also, there are several hidden compartments and drawers. In fact, the top two drawers on the base are dummy drawers, and this compartment can only be reached from the interior.
Overall, the desk is in good shape. However, there is some finish wear along the interior of the desk, near the lock. Also, there is some patina to the brass hinges on the interior. Please see photos.
