Pretty vintage dining chairs with caned backs. These vintage Cupid dining chairs have a central panel with painted Cupids in the center.
Vintage Dining Chairs
Overall, the chairs have a French Neoclassical design. These nice vintage dining chairs have upholstered seats and caned backs. Of course, there are two arm chairs in the set of six chairs.
Also, the chairs have turned legs in the front and splayed legs in the back. The fabric on the seats have a beautiful damask in a deep salmon and gold color.
In the center of each of the caned backs is a small oval wooden panel with a painting of a cherub. It appears that each of these paintings was done by hand.
Cupid Dining Chairs
These cupid dining chairs are unmarked but appear to be fairly modern reproductions. The chairs have a few light signs of age and use, such as light scratches and imperfections to the frames. Also, one of the arm chairs is missing a rosette on the arm. The upholstered seats are in good shape.
