Item: Antique (early 19th century) Tall Case Clock case, with newer works and reproduction face.

Age & Condition: Signs of age to the case. Replaced clock toppers. Clock runs and keeps time. It has been serviced and cleaned.

Dimensions: 18″ wide x 10″ deep x 93″ tall.

Modified Antique Tall Case Clock

Tall case clock pictured sold for about $1400 in November of 2022.

Beautiful modified antique tall case clock with amazing look. This early tall case clock case has been outfitted with modern works and a newer reproduction face.

That said, this modified clock still has a beautiful, authentic look. The tall case has a lovely crotch mahogany case. Certainly, this striking wood grain sets the tone for this beautiful piece.

Also, the clock features columns on either side of the case. This motif is repeated on the hood of the clock. Finally, beautiful Federal style clock toppers finish the look.

This clock has been serviced by Northside Clock Shop. Unfortunately, the original works that likely were part of the case have since been replaced. Also, the clock features a reproduction painted face (the moon dial is stationary.).

Overall, the clock has a great look and functions well. However, the case does show some signs of age and use, to the finish.
