Antique Bed
Beautiful and unique antique bed in a gorgeous tiger maple wood. This lovely cannonball bed has a great look for a historic home.
The bed features a traditional paneled headboard. Also, it has large chunky posts terminating in cannonball posts. Finally it has a lovely turned quilt rail and posts on the footboard.
The bed rails attach to the headboard and footboard with long original bed bolts. The bed has a nice sturdy fit.
Of course, the bed features an incredibly striking tiger maple wood throughout. Also, you will notice the rails used to have rope spindles that have since been removed.
In fact, this bed can be used as a three quarters bed. In that case, you will need to order a custom-made mattress and boxspring set.
Or, you can sit the boxspring and mattress on top of the rails. In this case, you can use a full size mattress and boxspring.
We have included new metal brackets and screws for either scenario.
Cannonball Bed
Of course, the traditional style reflects early 1800s furniture. So, you will notice the New England Style tall headboard. Also, it has beautiful thick cannonball bed posts.
Tiger Maple Wood
Certainly, this bed features incredible wood grain. Tiger Maple typically comes from New England. However, it remains rare and valuable.
We refinished this old bed in order to bring out the beauty of the grain. It is in good antique condition.
