Of course, this vintage tiger maple dining table has a simple, yet elegant design. It features turned legs, and a simple recessed apron. It also has leaves that attach to the ends of the table, with the help of dowels and pull out supports.
However, this table is truly magnificent because of the wood grain. As you may know, tiger maple is a rare and highly prized wood. Not every maple tree produces this lovely watery look in the grain. So, it is often used sparingly in furniture or musical instruments.
Here, the craftsman used beautiful solid tiger maple on every piece of the table. It shows prominently on the table top, the two leaves and the turned legs and apron.
Additionally, this table is unique because the grain of the table alternates when the leaves are added. This gives an even more beautiful look to the dining table.
Farmhouse Table
This beautiful farmhouse table would look lovely in any historic home, or really in any traditional home that needs a little warmth.
We refinished the table in order to better enhance the grain of the table. It no doubt will serve as a family heirloom for years to come!
