Vintage Persian Rug
This lovely vintage Persian rug has a wool pile and beautiful color variation. Of course, the signature Heriz pattern involves lots of geometrics and a large angular central medallion.
Additionally, the rug has lots of stylized flowers that surround the field. Finally, it has a nice rich border that is accented with a deep gray or black.
Overall, this rug is in good condition, with a nice soft pile. The fringe may have been trimmed at some point.
Heriz rugs are particularly admired for their bold, architectural patterns and substantial construction. Traditionally woven with a wool pile over a cotton foundation, these Persian village rugs are also known for their durability and ability to withstand generations of use.
This rug has been professionally cleaned.
