Description
Beautiful and large vintage Marbro lamps with gorgeous Imari-style porcelain bases. These original lamps from the 1960s have such an incredible look and have been tested and repaired by a professional electrician.
Vintage Marbro Lamps
These vintage Marbro lamps have so much going for them. First is their ample size and impressive presence, making them wonderful statement lamps for a large buffet, console, or on either end of a sofa.
The substantial porcelain bodies are complemented by tall brass fittings and elegant finials, giving the pair a beautifully balanced and architectural silhouette.
Next is their lovely Imari or Chinoiserie-inspired design. It has a vivid palette of deep cobalt blue, rust red, coral and gold. Floral and foliate motifs decorate the porcelain bodies, creating a richly layered look that works beautifully in traditional, Grandmillennial, English country or Chinoiserie-inspired interiors.
Each lamp has two sockets with individual pull-chain switches, as well as a single on-and-off switch on the cord, making it easy to adjust and layer the light.
Finally, the Marbro lamps retain their original shades, finials and fittings, which is quite remarkable considering their age. We had a professional electrician replace two of the sockets while retaining the original brass fittings and pull chains, and both lamps were checked for safe operation.
Imari Style Lamps
The lamps are in good vintage condition and function beautifully. As vintage pieces, they show minor signs of age and use consistent with their history, but these do not detract from their impressive decorative presence. Sold as a pair, these substantial Marbro lamps would make a striking focal point in a traditional or collected interior.
