This nice vintage maple secretary desk features rock maple wood, meaning New England slow-growing maple wood. This dense and sturdy wood means this secretary is quite heavy and durable.
The vintage maple secretary desk features a slant front and several drawers below for storage. In fact, the bottom two drawers are actually double height drawers and provide room for paperwork and file folders.
Inside the secretary desk, you will find a mix of small drawers, cubby holes, and even a velvet lined lidded compartment.
Of course, this desk also has nice sturdy brass hardware, made in the Colonial or Chippendale style. Finally the desk has ogee bracket feet.
Conant Ball Furniture
This desk was made in circa 1960-1970 by Conant Ball Furniture Company. This Massachusetts company had a reputation for quality reproductions.
Overall the desk is in good vintage condition. However, there are scratches to both the desk surface and to the top of the desk.
