Vintage Blanket Chest
This nice vintage blanket chest has an adorable design. On the front of the chest are three carved seahorses inside an arched design. On the lid of the chest are little fishes all along the border. Of course, the sides of the chest also feature decorative carving.
Certainly, this vintage blanket chest has the look of an old cassone or sea-chest. However, it was made by a small company from Dartmouth, MA in circa 1940s and 1950s.
Still, it is completely charming for any seaside home!
We refinished the chest in order to restore the warm wood tones.
