This beautiful mahogany secretary desk is impressive both for its height and its quality. Of course, the top half of the secretary features a bookcase with lovely arched glazed doors and adjustable shelves. It also has a nice Federal style arch top with finial.
The secretary base has a beautiful design as well. It has a slant front desk, which reveals a lovely interior with pigeon holes and small drawers. The base cabinet also has four drawers with a blockfront serpentine design. Finally, the desk has beautiful ball and claw feet.

Certainly, Biggs Furniture had a reputation for finely made mahogany furniture. This desk is in the original finish and shows well. It has a few signs of age and use, with some light blemishes to the desk surface and front slant front. However, overall, it is in great shape.
