Antique Mahogany Queen Anne Chair

Item: Antique Mahogany Queen Anne Arm Chair with carved legs and foot.

Age & Condition: Circa 1920. Good vintage condition, all joints are tight and the fabric is clean. Some warm patina to the finish.

Dimensions: 20″ wide (arm to arm) x 19″ deep x 37.5″ tall. (The seat is only 17″ wide between the arms.)

Antique Mahogany Queen Anne Chair

Antique mahogany Queen Anne Chair with carvings at the knees and foot. This beautiful antique side chair has a very nice swoop on its arms as well.

The chair appears to date to approximately 1920, but the seat appears to have been redone more recently (probably circa 1980). The fabric has a nice traditional damask and striped pattern. There also appears that there was once a dust cover (attached to the frame with staples) that is now gone.

Also, it appears that the chair legs were hand carved. There are no company markings on the chair, but there are a few numbers, possibly signifying the factory or joiner number.

This vintage chair would serve beautifully as a desk chair, or simply as an accent chair in a library or living room.
