Antique Federal Sideboard
This lovely antique Federal Sideboard has a beautiful bowed front design, with cabinet doors on either side. Also, it has drawers for silverware or linen in the top. Finally, the mahogany inlaid buffet has pretty line inlay and a nice backsplash.
Overall this antique mahogany inlaid buffet shows very well for its 200 years of age. That said, there are still some signs of age and use to the piece that require a little attention.
Firstly, there is some shrinkage to the top and some cracks within the top. Additionally, there are some signs of age to the veneer work along the backsplash and on the drawer and door faces.
Finally, the original locks on the piece do not function and have broken pins inside, so we removed the locks.
