Antique Corner Cabinet

Antique Corner Cabinet

Beautiful, grand and very high quality antique corner cabinet from circa 1900. This mahogany antique corner cabinet comes apart in two pieces. The large corner cabinet has beautiful classic style and incredible handcrafted details.

Of course, the Federal style of the antique corner cabinet commands attention. The large corner cabinet is centered by two glass doors, two drawers and two “blind” (wood paneled) doors on the bottom. Of course, the three finials and arched top are classic Federal design elements. Indeed, these types of arches and finials have been found on furniture since the early 1800’s. Certainly, they draw your eye upwards and lend a finished look to the corner cabinet.

Large Corner Cabinet

Especially nice in this antique corner cabinet is the hand blown glass. People can recognize hand blown glass immediately. The glass in this corner cabinet has waves, ripples and even tiny bubbles! Craftsman carefully measured, cut and fit each pane of glass into the cabinet. Few modern companies employ this technique today. Obviously, it gives the cabinet a beautiful period look.

One also notices the warm glow of the solid mahogany used in this large corner cabinet. Mahogany wood gives a classic and traditional look to furniture. Antiques made in mahogany last for centuries. This cabinet likely will do the same.

This antique corner cabinet has the original finish and is in very good antique condition. I can imagine this antique corner cabinet stealing the show in any historic or traditional home. It would look stunning filled with antique china and glassware. The relatively simple style lends itself to an array of decorating styles and homes!
