Beautiful antique cherry secretary desk from the early 1800s. This early secretary desk has such a handsome look and has so many pretty details.

Of course, this antique cherry secretary desk has a slant front desk surface that is supported by two wooden supports on either side. Inside, you will find a mix of cubbies and small drawers.
Additionally the antique cherry secretary desk has four graduated drawers beneath the desk surface. It sits on tall bracket feet, which have been repaired over the years but appear to be original.
The desk has beautiful dovetailing. Of course, you will find the dovetailed joints on the top of the desk and on the feet. The desk has had some work done to it over the years, but still has a lovely old Colonial look. The brass hardware does not appear to be original, but it is probably similar to what was original to the piece. Also, the locks have been removed.
Certainly, this antique desk would be beautiful in any historic home.
