Nice antique cedar chest with lovely inlaid design. This vintage Waterfall Cedar Chest was made by Lane Furniture in the 1940s.
Antique Cedar Chest
This nice antique cedar chest has a pretty look. It features a nice inlay design across the sides, front and lid. This veneer pattern is typical for Art Deco furniture of the 1930s and 1940s. Additionally this blanket chest has a “Waterfall design” with rounded front.
The cedar chest opens by pushing the front button (the lock has been removed for safety). Inside, you will find a shelf that has felt lining that pops forward. Of course, the entire interior is lined with cedar, which is great for repelling insects and moths.
We refinished this blanket box in order to restore the lovely wood and beautiful design of the chest. It shows very well and has a great look.
