This nice Martha Washington Sewing stand has a pretty design. It features three drawers down the center. The top drawer has a thread or small needle organizer. Also, it has two large lift storage compartments on either side. These stands are perfect for needlework or knitters, as you can store your project in the side compartments.
We refinished this antique sewing stand in order to restore the mahogany wood. It is marked inside with an original brass tag from the manufacturer, “Cowan.” This company was located in Chicago from the early 1900s until about the 1930s.
It shows well and is in good condition.
