This vintage three piece Italian made clock and candelabra set (often called garniture) demonstrates high quality and superb craftsmanship. Although not antique, this fabulous reproduction clock and candelabra set is truly a phenomenal work of art! This garniture set is by Imperial. It is in excellent condition and of phenomenal quality.
The center piece of this three piece mantel clock set features the clock. A German Company, Franz Hermle, created the mechanical movement. Winding every eight days should keep this clock running. Undoubtedly, the clock chimes on the half hour and the hour. Indeed, this clock and candelabra set spent many weeks at the Clock Repair shop to ensure perfect time keeping once it reaches your home.
Mantel Clock Set Design
The design of this Clock and Candelabra set makes an incredible statement as a mantel clock. The faun (half-goat, half man) creatures on either side of the clock carry a garland of flowers that sways below the clock face. These mythological creatures add a touch of fantasy to the set. Furthermore, the cast metal clock setting is framed by polished green marble base and top finial. All the pieces, including the green marble, hail from Italy.
The pair of candelabras are equally impressive. Of course, the stunning green marble is repeated on each piece, along with the exquisite French finish metal pieces. These candelabras each hold seven candles. As can be seen in the photos, the top candelabra has a stopper which can be removed to use the top candelabra.
The three piece clock and candelabra set is extravagant, but not cheaply made. Each piece has a hefty weight. This is due to the high quality materials used.
