Antique Bookcase

Beautiful mahogany paw foot antique bookcase with double glazed glass doors and hairy paw feet. This late 1800’s Empire Revival glass door bookcase has a fantastic look and is a great size for a living room, office or library. The antique bookcase is flanked on either side with two large mahogany Corinthian style columns, terminated in carved hairy paw feet. The shelves are adjustable. It includes a key.

This piece has been beautifully restored and refinished. The glass is original and has a beautiful wavy hand blown look. Of course, the glass has been put in the cabinet pane by pane. It has all the glazing on the interior of the doors. An antique bookcase from the late 1800s such as this one has the quality and craftsmanship that rarely exists today.

This beautiful antique bookcase underwent a bit of finish work. Our restoration team took their time to strip the old finish. Then they added new stain and finally a lacquer finish. Certainly, this allows Victorian furniture to breath a new life!
