Baker End Table

This is a beautiful Baker End Table with drop sides. The Pembroke style end table has tall legs and one drawer. Of course, a Baker end table has style, prestige and usefulness.

Pembroke Style

Although this Baker end table is a reproduction, Baker Furniture Company achieved the antique Pembroke style. Firstly, the table has banding around the edges. Mahogany banding and inlay such as this adds quite a dimension to the wood. Of course, it also adds considerable skill and cost. Secondly, the tapered legs on this Baker end table are both subtle and strong. Lastly, the bowed front drawer has great period detail. The Pembroke style end table also includes Hepplewhite style brass hardware.

This vintage Baker end table needed a bit of work when she first arrived. Fortunately, our restoration team was able to bring back the beauty and warmth of the incredible mahogany. Certainly, it took some time to enact a sensitive restoration on the piece. However, the results speak for themselves!

Unfortunately, we must also tell you about a small flaw that required our attention. There is a small chip to the left corner of the table beneath the wing. We did our best to minimize that flaw. However, we do feel it best to tell you of this flaw. Otherwise, this table has an incredible look!

The Pembroke style table can find quite a few places in the traditional home. We see our clients use these types of stylish end tables most often as accent tables between a pair of chairs or on the side of a sofa. However, a Pembroke table can also be placed in a guestroom on the side of a bed. Of course, if your living room or den is full, why not place it in a hallway?
