Statton Bowfront Nightstand Chests, a pair offered in solid cherry. These lovely solid cherry chests by Statton Furniture have a beautiful traditional style.

Of course, the chests’ soft bowfront shape gives a nice presence to the chest. Additionally, the beautiful cherry veneers on the drawer fronts give it a stately look.

Cookie-corners and nice columns finish each chest. Finally, beautiful brass hardware and faux keyholes give the chests a beautiful shine.

These chests shows beautiful vintage condition with minimal signs of age and use. However, one chest has a small dent on the second drawer. Please see photos.

The official name from the Statton Furniture Catalog is the Wetherill Bow-Front Chest #7075. According to the Statton catalog, this design has been adapted from a pair of chests made by Anthony Quervelle, a French Cabinetmaker who arrived in America prior to 1817. He made them for the prominent Wetherill family from the Philadelphia region.
